Sound Blog Post

In the Sound project, students were supposed to make a story utilizing sound, a 1-2 minute sound recording was made of an event that could realistically happen in 1 to 2 minutes. Apps such as Adobe were necessary to edit these sounds on top of each other, resulting in a realistic event. Students were required to make at least 4 of these foley sounds, with the rest being able to be of the internet.

For this project, creating a realistic soundscape began with careful selection and recording of foley sounds. I planned each sound, considering their importance in the story. To capture the sound of footsteps, I chose a variety of surfaces including concrete, and a wooden floor to match different scenes. I made sure to wear appropriate footwear for each surface to achieve authentic and convincing sounds.

To add depth and realism to the scene, I included ambient sounds that I sourced from an online source. This included cityscape noises, such as distant traffic and the subtle hum of urban life, to create a realistic environment. These additional sounds were carefully selected to complement the foley recordings and enhance the overall atmosphere. In post-production, I used Adobe Audition to layer and synchronize the sounds, adjusting volume levels and applying subtle effects to ensure a convincing auditory experience. This meticulous editing process was crucial in bringing the story to life and immersing the listener in the narrative.\

Lastly, to make sure the recording was ready, I closed my eyes and played the audio. This technique allowed me to properly put my self in the audience's point of view, and decide if the project was ready for submission.

Blog Posting Activity

In the camera shots quiz the class and I were assigned to take shots of different camera shots and angle techiniques while also developing a story topic. Appart from that, students had to also make a powerpoint describing the importance of each shot and angle.

My partner and I decided how the structure of the story was going to play out before starting any of the other steps, after, we wrotte down the sequence of shots that were fitting to the story and took the shots. After creating the story, we went home and compleated the powerpoint. My partner and I would have to implement the pictures in order of the story and explain the viewer what was occuring while also explaining the importance of the camera angles and shots.

Over all, my partner and I did a great jod with the camera shots quiz, although being more precisse taking the close up and extreme close ups would have helped the story have more meaning while also being easier to understand.

Blog creation

Hello, I'm Antonio and I'm writing this blog for my Aice media studies class,  I am a student in CBHS. This year I hope to learn how to master marketing strategies to attract customers. Since I remember, my parents were hard workers that enjoyed marketing, I want to follow their steps and become a professional marketer. This class will teach me how to manipulate customers into buying the products I sell, and help me master the basics of marketing.
